Log cabin holidays have been on the rise in recent years and there are several factors that contribute to this trend. One of the most popular reasons is that people are able to take a short break from work and spend a wonderful holiday in the log cabin without going overseas. At the same time, staying in the cabin gives a totally new experience from the urban areas that most of us lived in and yet not compromising on the quality of the lodging. But, there are still a lot of people that do not like the idea of staying in local areas during their break because they have the impression that there is nothing new for them to explore. In this article, I will touch on a few of the major misconceptions that people have with regards to log cabin breaks.
Misconception 1: Staying in the log cabin is no different from staying at home
This is true if you choose a log cabin that is located near the metropolitan city. But, if you have search for more information on the various locations of log cabin parks, you would have found those that are located deep in the natural environment. Staying in such a new environment for a few days must be a new experience for most people since we are too used to staying in hotels during holidays. You could enjoy the beautiful scenery and breathe in the fresh air while walking down the coast which is located quite near some of the log cabin parks. I certainly believe this would be a unique stay and is definitely worth a try.
Misconception 2: Quality of log cabin is bad
Do you actually know that log cabin holidays are pretty new to the self catering industry? Instead of the wrong misconception that people have on the quality of its accommodation, it is in fact the direct opposite. You will be glad to know that the log cabins adopt the contemporary interior design while leaving the rustic style to the exterior. There are sufficient furniture and necessity to ensure that travelers have a comfortable stay in it. Therefore, it is definitely not true to say that the quality of log cabin is bad.
Misconception 3: Lack of activities to participate in
This is one of the most common assumptions that people made because they thought that log cabins provide the lodging aspects only. In fact, there is a huge variety of facilities within the log cabin parks and you can engage in different activities such as sports and health treatments. Most of the facilities are free except for health treatment like spa and massage which you might need to pay a separate bill for the service. But it wouldn’t really hurt your pocket and we do need to relax after a year of hard work.
Don’t let this common misconception prevent you from going for log cabin holidays because it is simply not true. Most importantly, it is very affordable and a good holiday location for the entire family to have fun. As Christmas is around the corner, it would be a good time to enjoy ourselves in the log cabin.
