Do you need to freshen up your home’s theme? If so then consider decorating your room or your entire house like a cute seaside cottage. Here are some ideas that will not cost very much and can help your home look wonderful and make you feel like you are at the beach every day.

If you do not have a big budget then it is no big deal because there are tons of places where you can find cheap items to integrate into your home’s décor. The thrift shop, garage sales and discount stores offer a wide array of items that you can use to make your home look great. Sometimes these items might require just a little bit of paint and then they will be as good as new.

To start your room’s transformation purchase some pretty apothecary jars. These jars are perfect for displaying pretty items such as seashells, starfish, sand glass and more beach finds that you have saved up.

You can even take an apothecary jar and fill it with some sand and silver glitter and mix a few shells in for a cute arrangement that will look great in a bathroom.

If you have a few extra bucks then consider buying some starfish knobs to decorate your cabinets or dresser drawers in a bathroom or bedroom.

If you are trying to create beach themed rooms throughout your entire home then it might be a great idea to invest in wall art, cute beach signs or beach style picture frames. You can easily head to a thrift shop and find some of these items there for cheap. All you need to do is dig a little. If you find something with a lot of potential then buy it and paint it in a shabby seaside hue.

A little paint goes a long way and you can easily transform just about anything into something spectacular.
