A New Year’s Patio Heater

As we have recently celebrated the New Year I thought I’d share my experience of New Years Eve 2009.

All my friends were ringing each other up asking who’s having a party for New Year and where to go. So I decided to bite the bullet and go for it and host a party at my house. The only problem I could foresee was that there were going to be a lot of people coming, a lot of whom were smokers. Now I don’t smoke myself and frankly wasn’t too bothered about people going outside for a cigarette and of course it was going to be freezing cold. However my conscious got the better of me and I thought about clearing my shed which could be used as a smokers den, however the time it would take to clear out the shed wasn’t really going to be worth doing so I had to think about another option.

I then thought about a patio heater, which I had been thinking of getting one for a while so I thought the timing was perfect to get my first outside heater. So began my search on the internet where I found a few websites that were very informative as to what type of heater would be the best to use and one in particular gave us all the information we needed to purchase one. Also on this site there were other links to sites such as garden furniture which we had a look at and ended up buying four new chairs and a table for less than half the price than they were normally.

We were also pleased with the price we paid for the heater which was a new eco-design electric patio heater so we didn’t feel as bad when using it. We got the heater just before New Year and gave it a little test run and I was amazed at how much heat it belted out.

New Years Eve came and the party was a great success thanks to my patio heater as most people were comfortable staying outside for most of the night as the heat was kept up to a nice temperature.
