American football, whether on the national or college level, is a favorite passes time of the general American society. There are many different teams around though each state has its own major team with its cheerleaders and mascots in tow. People collect football rookie cards with their pictures on them. The mascot could originate from the teams logo or it could be based on a well-known character that used to live in the area. For the Baltimore Ravens the mascot is named after Edgar Allan Poe that used to live in the area. It is a raven though there are two live ravens named Rise and Conquer. The function of the mascot is to entertain the crowd and to get them to cheer and encourage their teams.
For a professional this is a dream come true especially if their team is among the beast in the country. To pick the players there are draft picks that are conducted during the year and the best college players have the greatest chance of being picked to join one of these teams. There are many gifted players on the field and Joe Flacco is one of them. His full name is Joe Vincent Flacco and he plays for the Baltimore Ravens as the starting quarter back. He began his career in high school while living in New Jersey. He later moved on and continues to play in the University of Pittsburgh though he also had some stints at the University of Delaware. In both institutions, he was an outstanding player and this has shown through in his professional career.
He was born on January 16 1985 and he is listed as the eighth rookie in the games history to start play at a playoff game. Among his many lists of achievements, he is also the first rookie to win in two playoff games in the same season. All this was done with his current team the Baltimore Ravens. He was the eighth draft pick for the season and has signed on a 30 million five-year deal with the team. At this point the Joe Flacco rookie card took off. Of the 30 slightly over, 8 million is guaranteed. Aside from his excellent football skills, he has several endorsements with Reebok as well as Pizza hut. The latter is in the process of coming up with a product in honor of the star in the name of Flaccos Favorite. Joe Flacco is truly a gifted player and is on record as being the first rookie signal caller to lead any team in the league to two playoff wins consecutively. His star continues to rise with each passing game and one feels that there is still more to come from this astounding player.
