We all know that our wisdom teeth are the last set of molars that emerge from our gums when we reach the age of seventeen until twenty five years old. There are some people who do not have developed molars and there are also some who would have 4 molars which is referred as the wisdom teeth and most of the time, they are impacted because there are no more space which is enough for them to emerge and when this happens, most people want to opt for impacted wisdom teeth removal.

Whenever your impacted wisdom teeth are causing problems such as infections, pain, swelling, and irritation, it simply means that you need to have impacted wisdom teeth removal. Not all wisdom teeth need to be extracted because not all of them would cause problems unless the gum space is too crowded and that they cannot emerge in which case, the impacted wisdom teeth tends to push the rest of the teeth for them to emerge. According to the National Institute for Clinical Excellence, here are some of the rules that they laid down if you want to have your wisdom teeth removed.

When impacted wisdom teeth are free from infections and diseases, there is no need for it to be operated because of the following reasons;
· There are no studies that can prove that there are benefits that explain that removing them is a good idea. As long as it does not bother you, then just don’t have it removed.
· It might expose the patients to unwanted risks of having surgery by having their impacted wisdom teeth removal.

If you want to make sure whether or not to have your impacted wisdom teeth removal, you have to ask your dentist on what options he or she can offer you so you would be able to decide.
