Although guys are loathe to admit it and want to maintain their macho exterior, the truth is they care very much about their appearance. At least some men are now coming forward that they wear compression undergarments such as mens support girdles to give a tone and muscular appearance. And thanks to these progressive men called metrosexuals, the average Joe is coming around that wearing support underwear is not such a bad idea.

Let’s face it. It’s the twenty-first century and society is becoming much more tolerant in what men should and should not wear. And frankly, does it matter what other people think of your choice in underwear? It’s about time that men give up their preconceived notions of what is right and wrong regarding the underclothes that no one will see anyways. The point of compression underwear and girdles is to be discreet and make people believe you achieved a toned and slim body on your own.

Furthermore, it is not as if men are not familiar with girdles in the first place. Men have worn them for health reasons such as protection for hernia protrusions, back problems and core stabilization for athletes. Therefore, the leap isn’t that great for men to wear girdles for everyday purposes. After all, if you have the chance to look slim and shed a few sizes off the waistline, why not?

Although the pressure from society to be thin is not as intense for men as it is for women, marketing gurus are still targeting young men with how to get a ripped body programs. Although these programs might work for awhile, it’s really a lifestyle change to continue being fit and watching what you eat. Are you going to be dedicated enough to keep at it? While you have to answer that question for yourself, why not go for a sure thing and get a mens girdle?
