But we all know how these sweet delicacies contribute to the growing number of sick and obese children all around the world. It is because they get most of the carbohydrates but not enough nutrients that are needed by their growing bodies. To remedy this situation, you can use alternative ingredients that actually have the essential nutrients that are good for these kids. You will probably not believe it at first, but maple syrup actually has great natural elements that are good for the body.
We probably use maple sugar on our pancakes and as sweetener for our tea and salads. But do you know that you can also make candy out of this? Here is how you do it. First, boil some maple syrup into your pan and add some butter. Let it simmer for a while and make sure that you stir while the maple syrup is boiling. Choose your favorite candy molds and smear some melted butter in them so that you can easily take out the candy once the mixture has cooled. Then get your favorite candy mold and quickly pour the mixture into the molds while it is still hot. Let it cool down for a while before putting it inside the refrigerator.
This recipe is fast and easy to do. It is a fun activity for the kids, not to mention the great nutritional value you will get from organic Canadian maple sugar.
