A lot of people really don’t understand the full costs involved in owning a cell phone. Some people can end up spending a small fortune. Also, if you have bad credit you should be careful about how to get a no credit check cell phone plan. The truth is it’s really easy to save money on your cell phone bill. Many people are either just too lazy to do it or are clueless how to do it. Follow these steps and save money on your cell phone bill.
Text Messaging Flat Rates
Suffering from a soaring thumb? Costing you at least 10 cents per message, those short prompt messages and replies can quickly build up. To add more insult to the injury, majority of today’s networks charge their customers for messages they also receive.
Fortunately, some networks offer special text-messaging flat rates that allow you to save lots of money especially if you’ve got a teenager included in the plan.
Over the Minute Calls
The amount you pay for your calls is reflective on the number of calls you make, this is not really bad since your using it for an intended purpose. What’s bad is when you cut your calls over the minute, which will often cost you above your phone’s monthly bill.
Always remember to mind your minutes. If your monthly bill still goes above your plan, adjust your plan accordingly.
Roadside Assistance
Most telecom companies include roadside assistance as part of their plans, so there is really no need for you to pay for it twice. Plus, instead of paying your service provider for this service, auto insurance plans also offer roadside assistance plans for less, so why not consider them instead.
Land Line for Local Calls
Be practical. Instead of using your cellular phone for local calls, why not use your land line instead and save few of your mobile phone’s minutes.
Avoid Extras
Extras like games, MP3s, GPS services, ringing tones, and streaming videos are not only unnecessary, they are also costly. Save money by avoiding these extras.
Downgrade Your Plan
If you’re not really using your entire phone’s minutes monthly then downgrade your plan. Why pay for something you’re not really using every month? This will save you lots of money.
