Deciding how much money you want to pay for an airsoft rifle is not that hard of a process. It comprises of learning about what things are on the market which fall into a particular price range, and then going into that category and doing deeper analysis.
For example, you can expect medium-powered electric guns to price at about $150 to $200. Electric airsoft guns are the easiest to classify, because the airsoft rifles can be classified as LPEG, MPEG, or AEG. The former most designation is the cheapest and cost as low as thirty dollars, but AEGs are very powerful and can run at over three hundred dollars. As you can see, knowing what you are looking for is a strong determination of how much you are going to pay.
You should aim to purchase the highest quality airsoft gun with the money that you have. So if money is not a problem for you, there is no reason to get a less expensive item, as it will not perform as well as one that costs more. That is not to say that you cannot do well in airsoft games with a cheaper product, because skill is just as much a factor as the gun you are using. But when you have something better to work with, you will always perform at a higher level.
The best kind of airsoft gun to get is one that is similar to who you play with. For example, if your friends play with only spring pistols, it would be unwise to get an AEG. While this would give you a huge advantage, your friends probably would not want to play with you if they were so overpowered. That is why the context of where you will be playing airsoft is so vitally important, and is the most critical factor to consider when deciding how much you want to invest in this sport.
