Another modern work that is often included on lists is One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest, written in 1966 by Ken Kesey. This book was inspired by Kesey’s experience working the night shift at a mental hospital. He spoke with the patients and took some of the drugs that were used to control their behavior at that time, and developed strong feelings of sympathy for their situation. The book is an exploration of the dangers of behaviorism, a psychology philosophy that states mental illnesses can be fixed by altering behaviors and the environment a patient lives in. This manifested itself in the mental suppression and coercion of patients, and Kesey explores how this approach to treating mental illness damages individuals.

The set originally retailed for $24.99 and included three minifigs: Jar Jar Binks, Anakin Podracer and of course, Aldar Beedo.

The second version of the LEGO Aldar Beedo minifigure resembles the movie character more than the first version did. The second minifig was included in set 7186 Watto’s Junkyard, which was released in 2001 and originally retailed at $49.99. The Watto’s Junkyard set consists of 466 pieces. The set includes minifigures Watto and Aldar Beedo, along with two Podracers; Aldar Beedo’s Podracer, which is blue, and Mawhonic’s Podracer, which is green. (The set doesn’t include a Mawhonic minifigure, however.) This version of the character is a very unique Star Wars LEGO minifigure, as it is a single mold with no moveable parts or removable pieces.
